Class Attendance: No computers are allowed in the classroom, unless they are for taking notes and upon authorization by the instructor.

Homework:
Homework must be returned on Thursday at the end of the discussion session.

Quizzes: Short quizzes will be assigned in class during the discussion sessions and will cover the same topics as the homework for that day.

Exams: Midterm exams will be Mondays, 5:00 – 6:15 pm on October 5, October 26, and November 23 in the LC building. The final exam will be Monday, December 14th, 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm. Calculators will not be allowed in the exams.

Grades: Homework and quizzes will count as 20% and 80%, respectively, of one midterm exam. Only TWO homework problems will be graded on average each week. The lowest quiz and lowest HW grade will be dropped. The final will count as two midterms. This gives you a total of 6 grades for the semester (hw+qz, mid 1, mid 2, mid 3, final, final). The lowest score will be dropped to calculate the final grade.

This schedule is tentative; changes may be made during the semester.
