The discounted room rate offered to registered conference participants is $145/night.  The hotel resort fee ($20/day) is waived for all registered participants. 

Participants have a choice of two methods to make hotel reservations at the Sonesta Beach Resort Key Biscayne.
(1)  You may choose to prepay your room as an additional conference fee.
(2)  You may choose to deal directly with the hotel. 

If you use method (1), state and local taxes will not be added, since your room will be paid from the Department of Physics conference account.  This first method of payment is available only until 11 November 2005.  On the other hand, if you use method (2), state and local taxes (13%) will be added to your room charges.

(Note:  On page 3 of the hotel's webforms, under "Special Requests:", you may ask for an "Ocean View" room instead of an "Island View" room.  The Hotel may grant your request without charge, on a first-come-first-served basis, but this upgrade cannot be guaranteed without paying an additional fee.)
